The Hawaiian shirt, or Aloha shirt, is a visible greeter and ambassador and is worn as a statement of a person’s love and connection with a special place. The Hawaiian shirt originated in the 1930’s and has evolved over the decades. Originally, there were fifteen different Hawaiian prints made. These prints were then sent to Japan where they were printed by hand onto silk.
